An
educational outreach program of the Eileen Boevers Performing Arts Workshop
For
almost twenty years, our Theatre for Young Audiences has
been committed to producing quality plays and adaptations of
literature for middle school-aged children from schools all over
the Chicagoland area.
Our
Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) educational outreach
program is proof that live theatre awakens the imagination as
it challenges students to explore the complexities of literature,
history and their world.
The
goal of our TYA series is to work, in cooperation with teachers,
to bring curriculum to life, to assist in teaching the fine arts
as mandated by the State of Illinois, to nurture an appreciation
of theatre, and to correlate drama in “cross-curricular” activities.
This
year, we invite you to join us as we present exciting plays that
will be great supplements to your curriculum. Allow us to support
you in your curriculum development. View
the current season.
Our productions
All
plays are approximately one
hour and include a question/answer discussion with the cast.
